The 72nd Annual Congressional Dinner was a sell out at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC!
The Foundation’s Annual Congressional Dinner is a premier fundraising event featuring representatives from the Washington media, political leaders, and other luminaries. Traditionally held in winter, the event honors the accomplishments of distinguished journalists, raises funds for internships and scholarships, and brings together newsmakers and reporters for an evening of good-natured camaraderie.
Thanks to all our sponsors who make the evening possible.
This year's master of ceremonies Bill Plante kept the pace quick as the two featured speakers, Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator Barbara Boxer won over the crowd of 730 plus members of Congress, Hill staff and journalists and proved there was no shortage of charm and wit on Capitol Hill. Linda Deutsch accepted the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award and Jonathan Tamari took the 2015 David Lynch Prize.
